Travel eSIM guide
A travel eSIM is a digital mobile-data plan you install on a compatible phone without swapping a physical SIM card. It can help you get online abroad while keeping your usual SIM in place for calls or messages.
Plans vary by destination, data allowance and validity period. Use the comparison below to narrow the options, then confirm network coverage, fair-use limits and the final price on the provider’s checkout page.

Japan guide
The lowest price depends on how long you’re staying and how much data you’ll actually use. These picks use the same provider prices shown in the comparison picker, checked October 12, 2026.
Its 1 GB plan is valid for 7 days, making Saily the cheapest verified plan that covers a full week. If you need unlimited data, GigSky’s 7-day option was $20.82.
Yesim’s 1 GB plan is valid for 30 days. For a more practical allowance, Saily offered 5 GB for $10.99; at 10 GB, Airalo was $18.00 versus Yesim at $19.20.
1–3 GB can work for a week if you mostly use maps, messaging and occasional browsing while relying on hotel Wi-Fi.
5–10 GB is a comfortable range for most one- to two-week trips with regular navigation, translation, social posts and web use. Choose 15–20 GB or unlimited if you stream often, make video calls or use your phone as a hotspot.
